All those who benefit from the charitable funds raised. As such, it brings us great pride that 22 community organizations received much needed grants on behalf of the Berkeley Heights 5K (Patrons, Runners, Walkers & Volunteers) in 2019, they are listed below:

  1. GLHS Booster program — supports extra curricular activities for High School Students
  2. BH Rec "Friends of John Laposky" Home Run derby grant
  3. Girls on the Run Union County — program builds "stronger" girls in elementary and middle schools
  4. Berkeley Heights Downtown Block Party grant — bringing thousands of locals to enjoy beautiful downtown BH
  5. BH Veganfest grant — weekend of healthy lifestyle choices in BH
  6. Veterans Memorial Park Renewal grant - providing plants and park maintenance
  7. PHF inc. grant — Ziggy's cornhole fundraiser for Pediatric Hydrocephalus Foundation
  8. Berkeley Aquatic Club (BAC) Jim Wood Foundation Scholarship grant
  9. Smith Chiropractic Foundation - community leadership scholarship — Graduating Senior Scholarship @ GLHS
  10. Operation Jersey Cares grant — provides sunscreen to servicemen & women serving abroad
  11. BHPD Youth Police Academy — Summer program teaching local children about safety, law & more
  12. BH Youth Baseball summer camp grant
  13. Berkeley Heights Recreation Commission — Free Summer Concerts in the Park series & summer camp recycle program
  14. BHFD Volunteer Fire company #1 — new equipment grant
  15. Summit Area YMCA — major grant for the *new BH YMCA construction Campaign
  16. BH Education Foundation — Platinum grant for ongoing public-school enrichment programs
  17. Right Side Up Ministries — Hurricane Dorian Abaco relief grant
  18. Governor Livingston High School Athletic Department — "Impact Concussion Testing program"
  19. BH Rescue Squad general operating grant
  20. BH Winter Walk grant — to showcase downtown BH for the holiday season and give back to the community
  21. VFW post 6259 Berkeley Heights - provides resources for local vets & aids those @ Lyons VA Hospital
  22. The Wounded Warrior Project — Grassroots organization providing aid to injured servicemen and women since 9/11/01
