Thank you everyone, (Runners, Walkers, Volunteers & Sponsors) who helped make our 20th anniversary Berkeley Heights 5K Charity Road Race & Fitness Walk a huge success! New set up with the taste of Bh food tent, new performance race tees, new awards, and 20 years of great memories led to a wonderful morning of family fun, friendly competition and a sense of community support. As a result, together we raised another $17,000, bringing our 20 year charitable fundraising to $190,000. Put this together with 1000's of runners & walkers in our main events and 100's of smiling children in our free fun runs, not bad for a "small town" road race event.
Free Photos of our 2016 BH5K are available on our Albums page, where you can download your favorite photos for free, yes free, and even view photos from past years.

Thanks again to everyone who helped make our 20th Anniversary Special!
Please save the date for our 21st annual BH5K Sunday September 17th 2017 and please patronize our sponsors (see sponsorship page for a complete list with links), without them this wonderful community event would not be possible.
Our 20th BH5K holds great promise, together with your participation, ideas & energy, we will make it a day to remember.
As always, please let me know how we can make the 2017 BH5K the best yet,
Dr. Patrick Smith

The Berkeley Heights "Run for the Health of It!" Charity Road Race and Fitness Walk was established in 1996 to help lend support to non-profit organizations. Since its inception, the event has raised over $190,000 and assisted nearly 30 local & national charitable organizations. This unique small town event draws runners, walkers and spectators alike to Memorial Field to join in the festivities. Approximately 500 Runners will race through tree-lined neighborhoods in the Berkeley Heights 5K, which is sanctioned by the USA Track and Field Association and is a 500-point race in the New Balance New Jersey Grand Prix Series. Non-runners and families can enjoy the fun by entering the 1.5-mile fitness walk, which winds through sections of the tree-lined residential 5K course. Our Free Tot Trot and Fun Runs for children ages 2-11 round out the day with over 150 smiling children dashing across Memorial Field. Please join us this year for a morning of friendly competition and family fun!
